Call for opens and IBIS related patent disclosures:

- Bob: Need to discuss a few parser bugs

- Eckhard: IQ checklist

- Mike: Unable to meet March 6, the next scheduled date
  - Next Feb 28

AR Review:

- None

New items:

Mike showed the IQ checklist

AR: Mike update online IQ 2.0 checklist to eliminate proprietary content

Mike showed PyBIS
- Mike:
  - I am unable to run the software
    - It requires other Python modules, some install OK
    - The OrderedDict module doesn't work in Cygwin
  - The README does not help with info on how to install and run
- Bob: Matlab has some of the same version compatibility issues
  - The EMC group in Europe has a tool that shows pinouts
- Mike: This might adapt IBIS to FSV software
  - We might encourage a student to work on that
- Anders: We don't know if it represents IBIS accurately
  - Free versions of software may not perform well
  - Our tools page may be promoting companies too much

Mike showed the IBIS Free Tools page
- Anders: Some of these border on promotion of commercial tools
- Mike: We could have a policy of having only tools uploaded to our page
- Bob: The opposite would be better, only linking to tools
  - We have not linked some tools from Italy
  - One is a quality checker
  - Students have done good work on IBIS
    - An NCSU student has a paper on Surrogate IBIS models
    - Ambrish wrote s2ibis3 at NCSU
  - Our parser is more than a syntax checker
- Anders: A large number of free tool links that don't work well
  does not help our cause
- Mike: Having a number of free tools might give an unwarranted perception
that all you need is free tools for IBIS
  - A number of these tools have serious shortcomings
- Bob: Some tools might have checks that are someone elses opinion
- Mike: The cookbook information is spread around the site inconsistently

Touchstone bug found by Eckhard:
- Bob: The smaller testcase for this is good enough
  - I will file the TSIRD

Next meetings:
- Next meetings Feb 28 and Mar 13

Feb 28 agenda:

- Effect of free IBIS tools on IBIS quality

Meeting ended at 12:18 Eastern Time.
